Company Introduction:
The Third Research Institute of Ministry of Public Security was established in 1978, which is a unit directly under Ministry of Public Security. It takes the responsibility to strengthen the Police Force, technical support and service for the front line Police. The Headquarter is located at No.76, Yueyang Road, Shanghai, has two R&D branches located at Zhangjiang Hightech Park, Pudong and Beijing city. The total employees are around 1700, 1300 of which are R&D engineers, and 520 of which are with Doctor and Master Degrees.
The Third Research Institute is a multi-science research institute, including Information network security, Internet of Things, Special Communications, Anti-Drug, Counter-Strike and Explosion-proof, detecting service and Social Public security. It has Post-doctoral research station, establishes National Anti-Computer-Hacking and Anti-Virus Research Center, the Key Laboratory of Information Network Security of the Ministry of Public Security , Security and Information protection products and system Detecting Laboratory, Electrical data Forensic Center which are series of National Class and Ministry Class key laboratory. In recent years, the Third Research Institute has taken amount of National Science support plans, “863”, New and High tech industrialization projects and also the National Class，Ministry Class key research works from the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Public Security. In electronic IDentity（eID）、Video Structured Description（VSD）、Radio Frequency Identification（RFID）、Police Digital Device（PDD）and other fields has made remarkable achievements. Since 1995 to the present, the Institute was identified as high-tech unit by Science and Technology Commission of Shanghai Municipality. In 2005, the Institute passed the ISO9001 quality management system certification.
The Third Research Institute will follow the strategic goal which is “To be the National Leading Research Organization in the Public Security technology filed ”, takes the Combat Mission of ”To serve the public security”, takes the Core Values of “Be Pioneers, Lead the development, Technology strengthen Police, Inspirational patriotic”, abide by the guiding ideology of “the integration of technology and actual battle, the integration of scientific research and industry, the integration of research and detecting services, and the integration of scientific research, education and training”, In accordance with the idea of “Hard work and ingeniously”, adhere to the times, forge ahead with innovation, serve enthusiastic, continually break the key technical problems in police actual battle and make the contribution of technology strengthen the police force.
